I won't lie to you and say it's not a part of it, but honestly - I don't know how you make up trying to kill someone to them.

I can tell you you don't need to hide, but you won't believe me. I can tell you I haven't seen Dean feel this guilty about anything that wasn't about family in - heck never. I don't know what else to do.

No, you're right, I didn't. But I saw the look in his eyes when he faced me. I know Dean, he would rather die than shoot me. If he was far gone enough to do that -

I wouldn't have talked to him anyways. [She admits that at least. ] I didn't want to talk to you. [Yet, she did. Sam at least always seemed more open minded.]

I don't trust him. And I'm sure he doesn't trust me.

That's fair - honestly I would hang up on myself if the tables were turned.

You've got no reason to trust us, I know. But I'm gonna say it anyway, we're not gonna hunt anyone that's not hurting people.

I have my abilities and a direwolf to back me up, so if you guys try to hurt me... I'm not going to hesitate this time. [Meaning: if she hadn't cared about not hurting Dean, there's no way he would've gotten the jump on her like that.]

The mist's faded, we've got our heads back together.

Honestly, I want to believe you, and if I had proof yeah I'd be more at ease. But that works both ways - I need proof someone's done something wrong to gank them, too.

I know you can probably kill the both of us with a flick of your finger but I'm taking that fact that you didn't so far as a good sign.

How am I supposed to prove it to you? [She sounds seriously annoyed.] You know, except for not doing anything bad for the whole time I've been here. Have you heard of any animal attacks or bodies being drained? That would be because it hasn't happened.

And yeah, I can kill you and I haven't because I'm not a cold-hearted d-bag. [Aka Dean.]

Bodies can be hidden in the mist easily enough. [He point out] Look, like I said - I want to believe you, I like you.

[He pauses]

The mist's a bitch, you know. It messes with different people every time. It could one day end up messing with you.

[And you'd want people's understanding then.]

I'm not hiding bodies! I haven't killed anyone!

[She glares]

So then you'll put me down?

So then I hope people'll try to understand you.

So far the track record isn't so good, hence why I've been keeping it a secret.

Being a vampire's not your fault and I don't blame you for not telling, especially us.

All I'm asking you is to just keep an open mind about what I'm telling you. Don't believe me, don't talk to us, don't come near us don't do anything that makes you uncomfortable, being safe's the first priority. But just - keep an open mind. Because if you get hit by the mist - you'd want others to keep an open mind about you.

Keep an open mind? [She laughs] You're asking me to keep an open mind? You guys are the ones who are hunting things that are different. This is a speech you should be giving Dean, not me.

My mind is wide open. It's like a freaking field.

Back home we hunted monsters, real monsters, that hurt people - ate them, slaughtered them - a million different things. We've been raised into it. But since we got here did we lay a finger on anyone who didn't deserve it?

So I deserve it?

No - dammit just - what I'm saying is until this mist induced madness, Dean and I didn't do anything either. So maybe you could entertain the idea that you're misjudging us too?

[Not the best thing to say to her right now.] Misjudging. [She just looks at him.] How can you say that?

If I was misjudging I would've hung up on you, I would have let Damon kill Dean or done it myself before he could even shoot me a second and third time.

Like I said, Caroline. If the mist ever hits you - I hope people take that into consideration. 'cause Dean, he never touched you while in control.

Because he didn't know what I am. [Sigh] Can you even promise me he won't hurt me? When he's in his 'right mind'.

He knew what a lot of people are, didn't lay a finger on any of them.

[Oh, this is actual progress!]

I know my brother, Caroline. He feels terrible. [A pause] In our world...we met with vampires who fed off of animals once. Not only did Dean let them go, he helped hold off another hunter from going after them.

I told him I fed on animals, off of blood bags.

He wasn't in his right mind at the time. Look, if he hated you, if he wanted to kill you? The last thing he'd ever do is let me talk to you.
