Well obviously. But I mean, you know what people say. About looking like your pets. Anyway. Maybe you can help me figure out a name.

Okay. When should I come?

[cramped]

Whenever you're free. I'm not going anywhere today.

I can come over in 15?

[cramped]

Sure, yeah. That works for me.

[ she doesn't bother responding. she just makes her way to his place after she gets done doing whatever she's doing. and once there, she's polite enough to knock, although she wonders what's changed since the last time she was there, if he has different roommates or any at all.]

[cramped]

[ Isaac's roommate is both the same and different all at once. It's still Scott, but not the same Scott as any of the previous times that he and Caroline have hung out together. In any case, Isaac quickly trots to answer the door when she knocks. ]

Hey.

[ He smiles down at her as the door swings open. ]

Come on in.

[coy]

Hey-- [ She smiles a bit brighter upon seeing him, moving to go inside the apartment.]

It's good to see you.

[cramped]

Yeah. Um, how have you been? [ Although the kitten is not in sight, she can probably pick up on the sounds it's making while playing in Isaac's bedroom. The skitter of claws on floor boards and soft mewing. ]

[coy]

Fine. [ That's a lie.] How are you? How's impending fatherhood--[ She looks towards the sounds of kittens.]

[cramped]

[ It's not easy to lie to a werewolf but Isaac doesn't press her on it, simply nodding. ]

Pretty good, actually. My roommate is a vet tech back home so he's been teaching me a lot.

[coy]

Scott? [ It's worth a guess. She circles towards him.] So... can I see your cat?

[cramped]

Yeah, Scott. He's back... Again. [ At Caroline's second question, he nods and gestures down the hall. Once she starts down it, he'll begin to follow. ]

[coy]

That's great-- [ She smiles a bit brighter at him, happy for his sake.] So any name ideas so far?

[cramped]

[ Once they make it to the end of the hall, Isaac pulls open the door of his bedroom. Revealing a kitten on the other side, playing around in the sheets of his bed. ] I dunno. I kind of like the name Dexter. What do you think?

[coy]

[ she moves straight towards the kitten, carefully going to sit on the bed and pick him up.] Dexter-- [ holding up the kitten, she places a kiss on it's nose.] Are you a Dexter?

[cramped]

[ Isaac hangs back in the doorway a moment, smiling fondly as he watches her interacting with the kitten. ] I'm starting to think so.

[coy]

[ The kitten tries his damnedest to nuzzle Caroline's face with his own and she has to laugh.] Yep. Definitely a Dexter. [ She moves to set the kitten back down on the bed.]

[cramped]

Well then I guess that settles it. [ Isaac squats down next to the bed and the newly-minted Dexter quickly romps over to paw at his curly hair. ]

[coy]

Easier than I thought it would be, [ she laughs softly, moving to pet Dexter's head as he paws at Isaac's hair, then moving to do the same herself, brushing her fingers through it, watching them bounce back which entices Dexter to paw at them again.]

[cramped]

That feels good. [ Isaac murmurs, right before Dexter gets a little too claw-happy. ] -- Ow.

[coy]

Who me or Dexter? [ She laughs, moving to try to pull Dexter away from maiming Isaac's head.]

[cramped]

[ Isaac glances up at her, grateful for her intervention. ] You. [ He then looks down at his arm. ] Gave me goose bumps.

[coy]

[ Her mouth twists a little teasingly.] Should I do it again?

[cramped]

Without the claws this time. [ He moves to sit on the edge of the bed and pulls Dexter into his lap. ]
