I'm on my way. [ caroline doesn't need to see the words, she's already got a sinking feeling of what's going on. she grabs her mini cooler and stuffs it with blood bags before heading towards the woods.]
[ she's waiting for her, which is why as soon as caroline gets close enough that elena can smell the blood she rushes up to her. for a moment she doesn't really know what to say, she just stands in front of her best friend with blood on her shirt and a desperate look on her face, but finally her shoulders slump and she just blurts it out. ]

[ there a few seconds that caroline feels absolute dread and panic. elena is covered in blood and frantic. but the blood isn't fresh, caroline can smell that much. it's not elena's. somehow, that makes caroline relax a bit more, makes it easier to focus even as elena starts to go into panic-mode herself.
she's been through this before, she's helped elena before. except... the only way to fix the sire bond was for elena to turn it off. one thing at a time and if caroline has any say, she'll find a different way for elena to break free of it because elena without her humanity sucks. a lot.]
