Somewhat. Control is a hard concept for me, if we're both being honest.

I've never really had much of it. It's always been my family or spirit dictating what I should do with my life. I've just gone with it.

No, it's not weird. And yeah, I guess it kind of sucks but... having control keeps anyone from getting hurt.

No, they don't. It happens sometimes, though, no matter how hard you try. I don't think you'd ever hurt anyone you care about on purpose.

But we've always had feeders at Court, so I guess that's another thing that differs.

Hunting for my meal is something I've never had to do. There's no thrill in feeding from someone in a sterile room who's there day in and day out. The temptation isn't there.

Yeah. Moroi saliva has endorphines in it that gives them a high, so it's easy to get addicted. No one dies, but they lose a few years.

And you call vampires Moroi?

Unless a Moroi kills while feeding, yeah. If that happens, they turn Strigoi.

Is there only pain when you feed from someone, then?

That sounds really... complicated.

Yeah. There's only pain. [ she knows from experience.] Unless you compel them not to be in pain.

It's anything but, honestly. If you saw them, you'd know.

And what about bloodsharing? Is there still pain when you do that?

What, are there different kinds of vampires or something?

With humans? No, it heals them.

Just Moroi and Strigoi. Strigoi are all about blood and carnage. They're stronger, faster, and weak to sunlight. If they were Moroi before, they lose any connection with the element they specialized in. They hunt us, basically, but they'll settle for humans.
